People who got off Celexa, how was it? What was the process like, ever have crazy dreams?
I came off Celexa a few years back and honestly, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. I tried to taper off way too fast at first, and that was a huge mistake. I started getting those weird "brain zaps" which felt like tiny electric shocks in my head every time I moved my eyes. Once I slowed down the process and dragged it out over a couple of months, things finally started to level out.
The dreams were definitely the craziest part of the whole deal. They were super vivid and totally bizarre, like I was watching movies in my sleep every single night. Sometimes they felt so real I’d wake up and take a second to realize where I was. It took a while for that to calm down after I was completely off the meds, but it eventually faded away.
Just take it slow and listen to what your body is telling you. If you feel like you're spiraling or the withdrawal symptoms get too intense, don't be afraid to pull back and go slower. It's not a race, and getting off it the right way makes a massive difference in how you feel during the transition.
