How do you feel knowing that Donald Trump is nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize?

It depends on how the UAE-Israel deal develops in future. Forget everything else of what you think of Trump, the nomination is for this deal so let's analyse this for its merits. Deals have been made before in Israel and not lead to lasting peace and stability. If this does stop the illegal West Bank settlements and lead to improved Arab-Iraelli relations then arguably it is deserved. However at this stage it seems a very premature nomination as such deals have fallen apart before. Obama was awarded it prematurely then failed to really do much. Best analogy I would have is the Good Friday agreement in Ireland. I was not a fan of Tony Blair but I give him credit for achieving that.

"I feel like maybe the identitarians who issue the prize will only see him as "orange man bad" and never give him the award, even if it were richly deserved. The last president to get it did nothing to earn it let alone anything toward a peaceful end. The prize no longer has any meaning and is utterly pointless. Great that Trump got nominated for a legitimate reasons (brokering peace), but I won't hold my breath for him to get it, nor care one way or the other about the meaningless accolade. "
