One of my students almost cried today because his penpal didn't answer. Any Englishspeaking parents/teachers that would be willing to help a few of the students in my class (Germany) that didn't get an email back from their penpal?

That really sucks for the kid, honestly. I remember how much waiting for a letter felt like an eternity back in the day, even without all the instant messaging stuff kids have now. It’s pretty tough when they put their heart into writing something and get nothing back, so good on you for trying to fix it for them.

I’m definitely down to help out if you still need someone. I’ve got a bit of time in the evenings after work to shoot over a few replies. It might be cool for them to chat with someone who isn't just another student, maybe tell them a bit about what life is like over here or just keep the conversation going so they don't feel left hanging.
