The whole complex is about 17.6 miles long from shore to shore, which is pretty wild when you think about how they actually built the tunnels underneath the shipping lanes.
It's a mix of bridges and those tunnels, which is what makes it so unique. If you're driving it, the transition from the open bridge to going underground is kinda trippy the first time. Definitely worth doing once if you are passing through that part of the coast, but man, watch out for the toll costs, they really add up if you're hauling a rig.
