what college did nick and schmidt go to

Nick Miller and Schmidt both went to Syracuse University. It's actually a pretty big plot point in the show when they talk about their college days, especially considering how different their personalities are. I remember watching those flashbacks and thinking it’s funny how they ended up being such close friends despite their complete opposite vibes.

I've always thought the show did a decent job portraying that weird, inseparable bond you sometimes form with college roommates. Even though they went to the same place, Schmidt was clearly the one focused on his career path early on, while Nick was definitely more of a slacker back then. It's a classic sitcom dynamic, but it works perfectly for their characters.
