where is the tv show chesapeake shores filmed

that show is actually shot up in vancouver island, mostly around qualicum beach and parksville. i remember driving through those parts a few times for work, and you can totally tell it's the pacific northwest by the look of the coastline and the vibe of those small towns. it’s pretty cool how they make it look like maryland, but if you've spent any time on the west coast, you know exactly where those spots are.

pretty sure they use a bunch of different locations around vancouver too for some of the interior shots or when they need a bit more of a city feel. it’s one of those shows where the scenery is almost like another character, honestly. if you ever find yourself up that way, the views are pretty much exactly what you see on tv, just way better in person.
