where is the island of Bali located
Bali is located right in the heart of Indonesia, sitting between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. It's part of the Lesser Sunda Islands and honestly, it’s one of those spots that just sticks with you once you've been there. I've sailed through those waters a few times now, and the approach to the island is always pretty special with the volcanic peaks visible from quite a distance.
You'll find it positioned just south of the equator, which is why the weather stays pretty warm and tropical pretty much all year round. It’s tucked away in the western part of the Indonesian archipelago, and honestly, if you're ever looking at a map of Southeast Asia, you really can't miss it. It's a gorgeous spot, and being out on the water nearby really gives you a different perspective on just how stunning that whole region is.
