Cyprus is basically sitting in the northeastern corner of the Mediterranean Sea. If you're looking at a map, it's south of turkey, west of syria and lebanon, and north of egypt. I've sailed those waters plenty of times, and honestly, the location is pretty iconic because it's right at that crossroads between europe, asia, and africa.

It's actually the third largest island in the whole mediterranean. Whenever I'm navigating through that region, you really notice how strategic its position is. The weather is usually great too, which makes passing by there a lot more pleasant than dealing with the choppy stuff further north.

Geographically, it's considered part of Western Asia, even though it has really strong cultural and political ties to Europe. It's actually the third largest island in the whole Mediterranean, so it's impossible to miss when you're navigating through those waters. It's a pretty busy area for shipping too, so you always see a lot of traffic passing by.
