what sea is north of Poland
That would be the Baltic Sea. I've spent plenty of time navigating those waters over the years, and let me tell you, it can get pretty choppy up there, especially when the weather decides to turn on you. It's not the easiest sea to sail, but it definitely has its own charm.
Poland has a good stretch of coastline along the southern edge of the Baltic. If you're ever near Gdansk or Gdynia, you'll see exactly what I mean about the ports being busy. It's a nice part of the world to spend some time in, assuming you don't mind a bit of a chill in the air most of the time.

It's always a bit tricky to maneuver depending on the season, but Gdańsk and Gdynia are solid ports to pull into. If you're ever looking at a map of northern Europe, you really can't miss it sitting right there above the country. It's a busy area for shipping, so you get used to seeing the same coastlines quite often.
