where is Lake Tahoe located

Lake Tahoe sits right on the border of California and Nevada, tucked up in the Sierra Nevada mountains. It’s a pretty iconic spot, honestly. I've flown over that area a few times and the view from up there is absolutely unreal, especially when the water is that deep blue color against the snow-capped peaks.

Most of the lake is actually on the California side, but the Nevada side has all those casinos and resorts if you're into that scene. It’s one of those places that looks just as good in the summer when you're out on a boat as it does in the winter when the slopes are packed. Definitely worth checking out if you ever find yourself out west.
