where is Lake Como located

Lake Como is tucked away in the northern part of Italy, right near the border with Switzerland. It’s actually in the Lombardy region, shaped kind of like an upside-down Y. I've spent plenty of time passing through that area, and the scenery is honestly one of a kind with the Alps looming right over the water.

If you're planning a trip there, just head towards Milan and take a train north; it's super easy to get to. The towns around the lake, like Bellagio or Varenna, have that classic vibe that you see in all the travel magazines. It's definitely worth seeing in person if you get the chance, especially when the weather is clear and you can see the mountains reflecting off the lake.
