what is the largest lake in Asia

The largest lake in Asia is the Caspian Sea. Even though people call it a sea because of its size and saltiness, it's technically a landlocked body of water, making it the biggest lake on the planet. I've sailed past regions nearby in my career, and the sheer scale of it is pretty wild when you're looking at the charts.

It's definitely an interesting spot to track on a map. Because it's so massive, it actually borders several different countries, which makes navigation and regional politics there quite unique. If you ever get the chance to look at satellite imagery of the area, you'll really grasp just how much water is sitting right there in the middle of the continent.
