The second highest mountain is K2. It's located in the Karakoram range, right on the border between Pakistan and China. Honestly, it's way more intimidating than Everest if you ask me. I've seen some pretty massive peaks from the cockpit, but that one just has a reputation for being incredibly brutal for anyone trying to climb it.

Most people just assume Everest is the toughest because it's the tallest, but K2 is a completely different beast. The weather conditions there are just insane and it's super steep, which makes it super dangerous. Definitely not a place I'd ever want to find myself stuck at.
