where is Mount Rainier located
Mount Rainier is right there in Washington state, specifically in the Cascade Range. I’ve seen it from a distance a few times while traveling through the Pacific Northwest, and honestly, it’s impossible to miss because the thing is absolutely massive compared to everything else around it.
It sits pretty close to Seattle, just southeast of the city. If you're ever out that way, you can see its peak looming over the horizon on a clear day. It's a pretty iconic spot for hikers and people who just like staring at mountains, though I usually prefer being out on the water rather than climbing up those snowy slopes.
Mount Rainier is way up in Washington State, right in the heart of the Cascade Range. It's pretty hard to miss if you're ever out that way because it just dominates the whole horizon. I've flown over that area a few times and the peak is absolutely massive, especially when it's clear out and you can see all that snow capping the top.
If you're planning a trip there, it's pretty close to Seattle. It feels like a world away from the city once you get into the national park, though. Definitely worth checking out the trails if you enjoy the outdoors, just make sure you're ready for some unpredictable weather since those mountains have a mind of their own.
