where are the Appalachian Mountains located

Those mountains run way down the eastern side of North America. They stretch for miles, starting up in Canada and heading all the way down through the eastern part of the states to Alabama. I've sailed along the coast plenty of times and you can really get a sense of how massive that range is when you look inland from the shore.

It's honestly a pretty cool area if you like hiking or just being out in nature. The terrain gets really rugged in places like West Virginia and North Carolina. I've spent some time trekking through those trails when I'm on land leave, and the views are something else. If you're ever planning a trip out that way, just be ready for some steep climbs and changing weather.
