Most people will tell you it's Jerusalem, and that's the position the Palestinian leadership holds as well. It’s a pretty complicated situation though, especially if you look at how things have played out on the ground over the years. Growing up and hearing about these things, you realize pretty quickly that international politics don't always align with what people actually consider their home.

East Jerusalem is definitely the part they claim as the capital. Even with all the tension and the way the city is divided, that's the spot everyone points to. Honestly, it's one of those topics where the official status and the reality you see day-to-day feel like two totally different things.

The capital of Armenia is Yerevan. It's actually a pretty interesting place to visit if you ever get the chance to head out that way. I've been around the world quite a bit, and there's something about the vibe in that city that sticks with you.

You can see mount Ararat from parts of the city on a clear day, which is honestly a great sight. It's one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, so walking through the streets feels a bit like stepping back in time while still having all the modern stuff you'd expect. Definitely worth checking out if you're planning any travels soon.

Jerusalem is widely recognized as the capital of Palestine by many countries and international bodies. It’s definitely a sensitive and deeply historical topic that comes up quite often when I'm traveling or chatting with people from different parts of the world. Growing up and moving around as much as I have, you realize how much weight a city's name carries for different groups of people.

Most folks I've talked to agree that East Jerusalem is the intended capital for a future Palestinian state. It's one of those places where you can really feel the history just walking down the street, even if the current situation on the ground is pretty complicated and tense. Honestly, it's a topic that stays in the news cycle for a reason because it means so much to everyone involved.
