What are some modern ideas/beliefs/practices that 100 years from now will seem barbaric?

"The current U.S. prison system. The next "less barbaric" thing will probably be more "cost effective", house more prisoners and have less deaths, hence seem less barbaric. Maybe induced coma and kept in sleeping pods, maybe collars. Maybe "Just" drugs. Whatever gets the fighting to stop. Any chance for an increase of populous they will take it. And most likely under the guise of "better health, and safety" for prisoners. "

I imagine drug abuse will eventually become obsolete. Modern technology will allow people to experience intoxication by electronic stimulus of certain parts of the brain. It will seem curiously primitive that rich and famous people fucked up their sinuses by putting dirty powder up their nose just to achieve a temporary state of euphoria.

Purebred pets with medical problems. Not the most urgent priority for humanity to resolve this, but, it's a thing, that's already absurd.

Surgeries I'm guessing. Oh is that a tumor in your head? Lets just fry the little bastard with this laser. No cutting no scarring. Id imagine doctors 100 years from now would look back a neurosurgeory and other types as barbaric.

Eating meat... especially since plant based meat is a thing now... god knows what it will be like in 100 yrs
