Moderate SOC student looking to learn from a far left or far right perspective for final project. Not a debate, just a learning experience. What are your views / why do you have them?

I'm not entirely sure where on the left to right spectrum I land, but I suspect it's on the left. Basically I believe that provided you dont infringe on anyone else's happiness, you should be able to do what you like. You want to KO yourself with cocane? Provided you do it away from other people who might be affected, go right ahead. Let people do what they want, provided it's just to themselves.
