Don't. They'll know or already know at some level.. Also becareful. I have had that perception about a few people who later proved to be very smart and knowledgeable about something in a different context or subject than I was judging them over. Some very smart people are only smart within their own wheelhouse...

I would just like to note that you used the exact reverse of my personal favorite phrase, not the sharpest pitchfork in the chandelier, and I think that's beautiful.
