I've got three, and I can't decide on a favorite: As a high school baseball player, I hit a grand slam in the top of the seventh while down three runs. It was the only home run of my high school baseball career (I was more of a high average/speed guy). While it wasn't exactly a walk-off, it pretty much felt like it. High school baseball again, as a freshman playing Varsity baseball, I was often the brunt of jokes and insults from the older players during practice. I managed to walk, steal second, advance to third on a fly ball, then score the winning run on a close play at the plate following a ground out. It didn't stop them from talking shit, but I made sure to let them know that without me, we wouldn't have won that game. Not so much a moment, but I was able to bat .949 for my adult softball team. I was 37 for 39, and one of the outs I made happened to be on a ridiculous diving catch by the opposing short stop. I would have hit .974 if it weren't for him!

Rugger here. One time during a game I went for a tackle on this mutant (6'5, 230-something). I didn't get low enough, he hit the highlight stick and just blew me up. I went flying and looked like a dick. Fast forward to a tournament the following spring. The dude was whoring onto another team and I saw a chance for redemption. They had a penalty 10 meters from the try zone and were going to try and slam it in. There was a 50-50 chance he'd be the goon to try and crash through, so I lined up right on him. The second their scrum-half toed the ball I made a B-line right for the bastard. He barely had time to tuck the ball before my shoulder was in his gut and I was driving him into the ground. No try scored, pride suitably restored.

May 26th of this year. Got my first hole in one. Just received my plaque from the club for it. Immortalized in plastic and wood.

Football story. Homecoming game senior year of high school, I was the starting defensive end and played most of the special teams. On one particular punt, this guy from the other team line up in front of me, a lineman. When the ball was snapped, I blocked him as he tried to rush in, he went absolutely nowhere. This smart guy thought it was a good idea to jump when the ball was finally punted. Being about ten yards from the punter, it was not needed at all. I decided to assist this guy to the ground, forcefully using his own weight. When he jumped I grabbed him up under his shoulderpads and turned him in the air in a way that caused him to fall shoulder-first into the ground. He didn't get up for a few minutes. Felt good, many laughs were had at film review. TL DR - slammed a guy who jumped for no reason using his own power.

"playing football in highschool, on kickoff, sprinted my ass off through a jumbled crowd of players, made a perfect form tackle on the returner and laid his ass out. best tackle of my life, everyone in the crowd made a "DAAYYUM" sound, i got so caught up in the moment that i forgot i had to stay out there for defense. "

High school hockey, I scored the goal that tied the game between my team and a team we had never beaten before. I scored just about never, so scoring in and of itself was just a big deal. Felt good, man.

My first dunk in a varsity basketball game when I was a sophomore. I was the only white guy on the team, it was a big deal.

Pretty much anytime I was playing football. But here are a few that stick out: Returning a punt for a touchdown, hitting someone so hard they had to get taken out on a stretcher in ambulance, running over my own teammate when trying to catch a kickoff (and I still caught it!). It saddens me I will never has as much fun in life as I did when I played football. :(
