This just happened last term so good timing. It was an introduction to Maya course, so learning the basics of how to work in the 3D program, the various tools, rendering, animation, etc. Instructor had us download and use Maya 2015 for the class work, but his instructional videos were being taught in Maya 2012 or something several years back. Many times the tools and techniques we were shown didn't work, and every week all of us were left google searching how to actually do the assignments. Not to mention the only way we were shown were prerecorded videos from another professors before he took over the class, so he literally had no hand in teaching us a single thing. I received more help and education from online forums and youtube videos than from that class. At the end of the course I'm fairly sure everyone of us complained to the board about it. It was a total waste of money, but it's a for profit school so I can't say I'm terribly surprised.

My DiffEq II prof spoke almost no English - we had to communicate with him entirely in the language of mathematics. Like, if you had a question, you had to write an equation on the blackboard with a question mark over the equal sign, and then he would write an equation attempting to explain why your equation was or wasn't correct.

If you were late to class, don't show up. That's what he told us the first week. One kid showed up 2 minutes late for an exam and the professor made him stand in the front of the class and humiliated the kid for 10 minutes. Told him to drop the class and never show up again. We were in shock.

My current differential equations class. Had an exam last week. Professor said topics x,y,x would be on test. 3 different times. With 3 different x y and z each time. The only homework we have for the class is stuff he hand writes and posts. We hadn't had any homework since the last exam 2 weeks prior, and so 3 days before the exam he posts two new homeworks for us to work on. He still hasn't posted the answers, nearly a week after the exam. The day of the exam comes and there is something on the exam he never even mentioned. On top of all this his lectures just suck. Nearly useless. I have another exam in 2 weeks. Help.

"Failed a class no idea why, couldn't get a hold of the professor via phone, email, or knocking on his office (one week into the summer). I should have left the first class and switched with around 20 other people, the professor had a thick Russian accent for a math class and taught material very fast and took no questions. Apparently the 4 quizzes were out of a 100 points, I got a 15 on each one that just said "15" with no red marks, not "15/100." Never got to see my final either. He didn't have an online section to view grades and was almost never at office hours. His syllabus was a quarter sheet of paper with his contact info and "4 quizzes, 2 exams, 1 final" Anyway ended up emailing honors director, math department and my advisor detailing my frustration trying to contact him. Retook with a great prof and got a 98% since I fucking knew the material. "

"I had a professor who would literally accuse the whole class of being on drugs. He couldn't teach worth a crap, and constantly whined about how we were "comatose". In retrospect, I should have just walked out in the middle of one of his rants and gone straight to the dean (this was an upper-level engineering course). "

"Was commuting to school daily. One morning we had a test. On the drive there, I hit a deer and my vehicle was undrivable. I took pictures with my phone and sent her an email from the side of the road while waiting on a ride. She said that hitting the deer was an unexcused absence from class and I failed a test worth 30% of the grade. That made me fail the course. She said, and I quote, "Deer are something you should account for when you leave in the morning. Leave enough time to deal with traffic inconveniences." "
