No, they won't. Not even North Korea is that crazy. What they've done in the past is acknowledge they've lost, but make all sorts of comments about bad decisions from the referee, the opposition cheating and, after the team got ill prior to a match with South Korea, they blamed sabotage and having their food poisoned. Or they could give it a try - there's only one Kim Jong Il, the best in the world in any position on the field :) Pele? Who he?

They might not be able to get away with it. Some outside information does trickle in, and the World Cup is a big deal. People still trust the government apparently, but don't necessarily believe everything it says.

No. North Koreans actually get quite a bit of news from the outside world these days.

I sure hope not, because there's no way they're winning. They wont even make it out of their group. It's like letting a university like Old Dominion or Binghamton into the NCAA tournament they have to be let in in the interests of fairness, to keep the tournament legitimate, but no one really pays any attention to them. EDIT: It's sirry, but not rirry.
