Anyone else watch ""An Idiot Abroad"" and absolutely love it? I Couldn't stop laughing, i also couldn't help but feel bad for the poor chap at times, despite his ignorance.

I just found out about him recently. I don't have cable anymore so I decided to check out some old recorded content on a deactivated PVR when I was bored. I have an episode of The Ricky Gervais Show recorded, and after listening to it, I HAD to find out who this guy is. I've seen four episodes so far and I love it.

I really enjoyed watching the show, but I don't believe the character. He's a good actor though, and it's certainly entertaining. I hope Ricky Gervais has finally found a good vehicle, because, obviously, movies are not his thing.

I love that show. It's a shame that It was so short. I will check out the xfm stuff that everyone talked about.

It's overegged at times which breaks the illusion that he's not putting it on. But on the whole it's very fucking funny. His description of the honeymoon suite in Cairo is hilarious. The book that goes with the series is a good read too.

You should listen to Ricky Gervais' podcast. Pilkington is a constant source of amusement in it.

I used to love Karl Pilkington, back in his radio/podcast days, but after that TV series I find it impossible to believe he's not faking his density :)

He's a great actor, but I doubt he'd have earned the production credit he has on the show if he were really that daft.
