Active duty US military personnel, what are your thoughts about being deployed inside the US right now?

Hey I'm deployed to Afghanistan right now but honestly it's nothing. It's not active duty personnel being deployed to American soil. (that's illegal) Its the National gaurd, not exactly highly trained operators there. It's a tactic meant to scare people and keep down the riots but they'll do far less than the police will. The military has absolutely ZERO riot training. Frankly, it's a ridiculous waste of taxpayer money to activate these troops that will accomplish nothing of any value. Unless the rioters try to overrun a military base or something, which would end hilariously, it's meaningless.
