My first time shooting a gun (2 years ago), I was genuinely so excited. I had played COD, Halo, GOW, Fallout, Red Dead Redemption, so I had a lot of prior experience with aiming, tactics, etc. The instructor laid out 5 targets and I hit 4/5 in the middle most ring. That's the most I've ever been proud of myself before.

Listening out for footsteps
Years of RPGs and Platformers as a kid have given me the ability to remember how to get somewhere after going there once, as long as the next trip is within a few weeks or so. Though, if it's driving, I have to be the one driving and not a passenger.

Distinguish what type of gun is firing right now by its sound
Warcraft, Starcraft and Civilization gave me strict rule to critically think about any information i get from other people. It helps a lot not falling into scam. And Warcraft at the same time gave me blind printing based on one hand, handy skill for programming/browsing.
By playing a lot of shooters I learned to always pay attention to everything in my vision. Comes in handy when you try to not get hit by a car
