""Starter" is a difficult genre to recommend if we don't know what games your son likes to play. But some universally good titles: Minecraft Portal 2 (has co-op, super fun puzzle game and really easy to learn) Rocket League (soccer, but with cars. On Steam) Move or Die (really fun party game on Steam) Gang Beasts (derpy fun party game on Steam) Brawlhalla (FREE! It's a 2D cartoon-style fighting game. Super easy to pick up. On Steam.) Borderlands (co-op shooter with story line. Not exactly a starter game but it's a pretty basic shooter game.) Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (NOT a starter game but easy enough to learn if you're willing. Battle Royal shooter game, super fun if you like shooters.) "

depends on the teenage son's taste honestly. for bonding. i'd suggest anything from nintendo (also for family breaking) otherwise. try an mmo

This post is so adorable. I'd recommend Minecraft. You can build anything you can imagine, there are a bunch of neat mods you can add, and it's relatively pretty tame unless a creeper gets into your house. It's so much fun!

Rocket league. It's so simple yet so intricate. It takes some getting used to at first but once you get the hang of it it's amazing.

Overcooked. Its a fun co-op experience that involves team work. It can get a little fased paced though...
