Microplastics. Scientists tried to do a study on the effects of microplastics in the human body and were unable to find a control population that was not contaminated anywhere on the planet. Microplastics have invaded our food chain so totally that virtually every human being alive has them in thier body. We look back on the 50's like they were so naive burning holes in the ozone layer with CFC's, spewing lead everywhere with thier car exhaust, and smoking 3 packs a day from age 12, but we arent really any better. We are still dumping huge volumes of pollutants we know almost nothing about into our bodies and the rest of the environment. Its not unthinkable that our grandchildren will roll thier eyes with nostslgia at how naive and optimistic we were whilst totally oblivious that our food containers were slowly poisoning us and every other creature on the planet.
