Attachment issues. They're either completely aloof and unable to let anyone within 20 yards of the real them because humans are the embodiment of pain and disappointment, or they're your best friend within five minutes of meeting them and oh god please don't abandon them, you're the most important person on earth and they'll do anything to keep you.
