My freshman year of high school... I started dating a senior and he was the geeky cute type. We had great times together. We were each others firsts for the most part... Really the only thing we didn't do was have sexual intercourse. We didn't kiss until three months after we started dating. Fast forward three years... My biological mother (I was adopted) informs me that I was molested/raped by a family member when I was younger... I can't remember it... But after that I felt tainted and dirty... I couldn't give myself to this amazing person. I break up with him the day I found out. Three days later I have sex with a fellow employee... My beloved ex was oblivious to the fact of my relations with said employee... But my ex saw us kissing outside of the YMCA, where I worked. Next day, ex goes inside the YMCA yelling at me calling me a whore. People inside the pool tell him to leave. I'm shocked... Crying... I didn't mean to ever hurt him.

We ended up skipping several of our scheduled phone calls, and finally I called him and said "um, I think maybe this is over." He agreed, we made awkward small talk for a few minutes, hung up, and I never saw him again. "

8th grade. Paula. My first girlfriend. Summer time was encroaching and right after my first kiss ever, she told me she only went out with me on a bet and that we were over. Tears haven't stung that bad since.

My first break up was horrendous. I dated her for like, 7 months, then she started to cheat on me. Instead of telling me, her best friend did, and she texted me here break-up message. I still have resentment about this, and I have trust issues as a result of it. Maybe I'm just weak and can't let things go, but it still bothers me.
