People, did you ever cut off ties with a family member or a friend? If so, why?

"I haven't exactly cut off ties with my aunt because I am worried to confront her but I don't talk to her much. I took care of her mom/my grandmother for years, at a young teenage age when no one else cared to even visit. The day she passed away, I had to console her and her husband's drunk ass instead of having my own time to grieve. The nail on the head was when she was writing the draft of the obituary. She named every great grand kid and step grandkid, but put a "...." where my brother and my names should have went. She wrote down at least 15 peoples names but somehow magically forgot the people who took care of her mom. I still have the rough draft somewhere, because it hurt so damn bad but I kept it as a reminder of how much they didn't care of how long we kept her alive and well. My grandma made it to 94. "

I cut ties with most of my family. Mainly because they're all selfish and abusive. On the one hand, it's negativity I don't want in my life. On the other hand, I grew up/older without critical parts of my family. Welp

Yes. The person loves to say horrible things behind people's backs and pretends to be nice to their faces and emotionally abused and slandered her own sibling. I don't even know how to begin to have healthy-ish interactions with her.

My friend moved to another city, and was going through health problems. I tried to keep in touch, but it was increasingly difficult, because we were always busy. Until she just started ignoring my messages, then I just let go.

Yes. He turned into a cokehead. It was irritating always finding lines on the back of my toilet or empty baggies around the house whenever he came over.
