"I used to live in Egypt, and I swear, conspiracy theories are a national sport there. I knew more than a few people that believed, honestly, that "Pepsi" stood for "Pay every penny to support Israel" But my absolute favorite was one me and some friends dubbed "Gravity is a Zionist Conspiracy" Have you ever seen an Arab wedding? What do a lot of people do to celebrate? They shoot their guns in the air, right? And what kinds of guns do they use? AK-47s. And AK-47s are really powerful, right? Hell, they could probably put a bullet on the moon, if you aimed right. So tell me this - how come we have Palestinian women and children dying from stray bullets when there's NO ONE AROUND? I'll tell you why. The Zionists have created a magnetic shield over the Palestinian Territories that repels the bullets and makes them come back down and kill innocent people. IT'S THE ONLY ANSWER THAT MAKES SENSE!!! "

I'm always shocked at how many people don't believe we ever landed on the moon. Also, Brazil is utterly convinced that Santos DuMont, a Brazilian, invented the airplane. He was a pioneer of powered flight, but his planes couldn't take off on their own, and the Wright brothers flew earlier, higher, and farther than he ever did. Just try telling that to a Brazilian, though.

Craziest one I ever half-believed: the U.S. government has actively fostered the popularity of American football as a means to prepare a generation of soldiers. Annually, every high school football program creates dozens or hundreds of physically-fit young men, all of whom have been trained to obey orders from superiors, perform complicated maneuvers as a unit, contribute to a higher goal than oneself, and physically brutalize the opposition, all while clad in cumbersome body armor. Rex 84 being instated -> FEMA camps -> Millions of coffins for those that go against the United States government. This, coupled with the new TSA security measures [keeping the people complacent, until the breaking point], the Patriot Act [eliminating freedoms], the US Constitution being disregarded every day, leads me to believe that these events could happen if Martial Law were instated, which would cull a large portion of dissidents in the US, giving the government complete control of the country.
