What adds value to art?

I think the most important thing about a piece of art is whether or not the artist is satisfied with it. Art is a very broad term and there's usually mixed opinions on whether or not something counts as art. As long as the person who made it feels that they accomplished whatever goal they had (which can be pretty much anything, including entertainment, expressing emotions, telling a story, and plenty of other things), I think it is art.
