"I hate when an interesting thread is too big for anything I write in it to be noticed. It just seems like I'm screaming into the void then. Another big one is the growing generation gap between myself and the rest of the userbase. Cripes, I'm only 30 and have no idea what half the T.V. shows referred to here are (usually pointed out with a vague "remember this?" Thanks, Dane Cook.) and I don't get people's nostalgia for Pokemon (It's manipulative corporate greed in its purset form at worst. At best, the games are Shin Megami Tensei For Dummies.) It's also tiring how every time people happen to like the same thing or agree on anything at all, some drive-by downvoter comes by and contributes "lol circlejerk." Either contribute a contrary point of view or downvote, hide, and move along. Meh, I could go on, but it's just not worth it. "

I hate it when antitheists try to tell me what I'm supposed to believe about Christianity and the Bible. There's plenty of reasons that people aren't religious, and I'm fine with whatever beliefs, or lack thereof, that people choose for themselves. But when I say I'm a pro-science, socially liberal Christian, the more zealous antitheists tell me I have to believe some illogical backward-ass dogmatic bullshit in order to call myself a Christian. They want me to be a strawman, because otherwise they have to admit that our views on morality are functionally identical.

"Sometimes I feel like this place is a goddamned courtroom. If you don't convey your thoughts in a way that is not "court approved", some folks can get all uppity. I've found that there is an army of people waiting to point out/correct the wrong portions of posts, (no matter how innocuous). Instead of adding to the discussion, they post only to correct you. Example: I love to eat doughnuts, my favorite are the bearclaws!! Actually, bear-claws are not donuts. Also, it's spelled DONUT. Fuck off with that shit, really. "
