"In an episode of Community, Britta flashes Fat Neil for two concert tickets. After he leaves, Britta checks the tickets and yells "Mezzanine!" I though it was the name of the band, a different band than the one Britta wanted to see. It wasn't until the third season of The Wire when Jimmy sees his ex-wife in the front row of a baseball game and complains about how he's stuck up in the mezzanine. I finally got it. "

I was at least 12 before I understood those Uranus jokes everyone used to tell. I'd laugh whenever I heard one, but on the inside I was reciting planetary facts and trying to find the humour.
