I'm in the southern US, and my tuition for a trimester at the private university I attended last term was about $4200 for three classes and fees. It's too expensive, so I transferred to the local state university. My summer tuition for three courses will be about $2200. Regular semester tuition just went up for the coming fall term, so I'm not exact on this figure but it's something around $5000 for six courses. So yearly this would be (for the state university in variable course loads each semester, going fall/spring/summer) about $12000/yearly, not counting books.

VFS is...expensive. More money than it's worth, I've heard. That being said, I spent a horrific amount on a BA in Booze (English).

It was a long time ago. Either $750 per semester or $1500 per semester, but I think it was $750. In-state tuition at the public university was a pretty good deal. There were also other expenses, of course, like books and rent and beer.

You guys will kill me for this. I am an older guy and my tuition at a state university in California was $75 a semester during the mid 70s.
