These things aren't as black and white as people make it sound. What if this grandparent was a child, forced (for lack of a better word) to be in the picture by their parents. Lots of grey area. Example, my grandfather voluntarily marched in the Hitlerjugend at age 11, so he could qualify for the free daily loaf of bread. He did so as the oldest of five children, because my great grandfather was part of the work draft, and great grandma had died during the invasion of our country. His choice was starvation, or march around for a few hours and feed himself and his siblings.

Pretty specific...

If they were the one who orchestrated it absolutly. If they helped in the act of ending someones life, yes. If they are in a photo? Well i think its enough for questioning.

Not unless they've committed a violent racially motivated crime or hate crime in recent years, people change

Depends on who they were lynching

I mean, most old people are imprisoned at the moment anyway. In nursing homes or their own private homes. They're basically under house arrest. The worst you could do to them is restrict their access to social interactions. They'll die in a few months due to depression. Not saying lynching is right, but my grandma is in a nursing home at the moment and we visit at her window with a phone call so we can talk. And my grandpa is in his home with dementia where he believes that people in TV shows are his old friends and that his dead wife is held hostage somewhere.

No they have every right to ask for that, but people can just deny them services. I'm against jailing people for just being racist. Now if they actually killed someone yeah definitely look into that.

If they commited a crime, it's not past the statute of limitations, the photo is ruled to be evidence, and the punishment for the crime is ruled to be prison, yes. Edit: I think imprisonment is bullshit in general and really does no good, but if its a y/n answer and not a call to write an essay on prison reform/abolishment, that's what I'm going with

Only if they're still a racist piece of shit because you have to remember that when we live our lives we live several iterations of life, many lives in one. I'm not the same person I was 10 years ago even... and education, learning and growing is one of the greatest gifts we have as humans.
