I just ate an entire jar of salsa because I was too lazy to make any food. What's the weirdest thing you've eaten in a desperate state of hunger?

Oh man, I totally feel you. I once came home after a super long shift and the fridge was basically empty except for a jar of pickles and a packet of instant coffee. I ended up eating a slice of dry bread with nothing but peanut butter and crushed potato chips on top because I couldn't even deal with the idea of cooking pasta. It wasn't my finest culinary moment, but it definitely hit the spot when I was that starving.

Another time, I was so exhausted I just ate a spoonful of dry pancake mix mixed with a little bit of honey right out of the bowl. It sounds pretty gross now that I'm saying it out loud, but when you're running on empty, your brain just stops caring about what's actually "food" and what's just edible fuel. Sometimes a jar of salsa is honestly a gourmet meal compared to the weird stuff I've put together in the middle of the night.
