"I think I get what OP is getting at, the women who have that sort of "men are all evil" attitude. An attitude that I honestly can't tolerate. Like, the original idea behind feminism was to promote equality by uplifting women to be equal with men, but somewhere along the way that attitude of "we'll make women equal by tearing down men" became mainstream and like? No? It's true that there are still men who hate women, but I don't get how promoting a new form of hate but this time at men will help in the long run. Yes, not everyone deserves kindness because being kind to terrible people is inherently terrible to others, but why do we have to take the approach that this is a zero sum game? It's definitely not easy, and I definitely don't have all the answers, but we CAN all benefit without having to tear down the other group. It's not a competition. "

Sexist men exist and you don't hear people asking men why the existence of sexist men doesn't affect the existence of non-sexist men so why are you just focusing on feminism and sexist women?
Women can't be sexist!
They really set everyone back. Sexist men and people who misunderstand feminism grab onto that and use it as an excuse to continue being sexist. Obviously, these women are a minority, but unfortunately they are often a loud minority. And as goes with most polarising issues, the loud minority gains traction more than the moderate majority. The loud minority then can be framed as a much larger group than it is
Modern feminists are sexist
Those women aren't feminists, they took the term and call themselves by it making the idea of feminism look bad. Feminism is wanting equality between men and women. Sexism is the opposite no matter which way it goes. Because of these sexist women calling themselves Feminists, some men believe that that's what all feminism is which leads them to be sexist towards women. It's like a cycle of sexist people saying the other gender is sexist.
If interacting with a sexist female makes feminism seem dishonest to someone that's an issue on its own. I've had interactions with sexist men and it doesn't man I can't be an ally when it comes to men's issues (ex toxic masculinity, violence whether physical or sexual etc). Why should an experience with a sexist woman cause someone to undermine the very essence of what it means to be a feminist ally? Is supporting the betterment of society (and that's truly want addressing systemic issues does- lift those suffering and better us all) really that fragile of a concept?
