This always made me mad because it was annoying and achieved a worse outcome for the customer, but they think they're being slick. People that order fries with no salt, but then ask for salt to put on the fries. They think they will get fresh fries if they order without salt. A fresh batch is made but also the whole boxing area needs to be cleaned. Ok if you actually have a blood pressure issue or something but not if you're just trying to scam fresh fries. Just ask for fresh fries and you will get them. But on top of that if you don't apply the salt immediately when the fries still have boiling hot grease on them it will just roll right off. You have to salt right away. So these idiots think they're getting one over but really they're just causing an unnecessary annoyance for the workers and ending up with shittier fries.

I used to work at a McDonald's. And for me it's when people order a lot of quarter pounder sandwiches. Because they are fresh so you have to put them on the grill asap. I remember needing like 16 and I had two grills that can only do three each. All the while gotta keep up with the regular patties and sausage. Or someone ordering a lot of chicken nuggets. When someone does the prank and orders like 500. We have to put 10 full baskets in total in the fryer and each one will take about 4 minutes. And there's only 2-3 that we could use

When i worked at mcdonalds the line workers really hated the mcdouble. It has pretty much every sauce and item on it, its time consuming to make, and because its a dollar people will order a shit load of em.

Not ordering, but when people ask to try way too many things. My boss allows them to try as much as they want, but if you go to a normal restaurant, are you gonna ask to try a price of chicken? No. So don't waste my time asking for 50 nice cream flavors to ultimately pick non of the flavors you tried.

Overcomplicated pizzas or too much extra toppings. Like half hawaii and half tuna pizza with extra olives. These things are the banes of my existence
