Where is a ""nice"" place you visit on the internet to read but to get away from all the bad news?

"I recently circled back to TheChive for the first time since like 2012. They at least claim to be apolitical. It's many of the same memes that you will see elsewhere but its nice to not have politics showing up in every thread. Does have a bit of "Maxim" style vibe to the photos. Digging into hobbies and interests is nice way to read without everything becoming political. I spend a good chunk of time digging through various band page bios on wiki/spotify. I'm discovering a ton of old music that i really enjoy that i somehow sidestepped growing up. "

I am a university teacher and many of my students as well as colleagues are very talented. They have Instagram pages. These pages are always overflowing with beautiful art music, paintings, dance, baking, poetry, crafts, travel blogs, food blogs, book reviews and so much more. It always makes me incredibly happy to see something beautiful that's been created by a student, friend or colleague.. Makes me feel proud of them too.
I spend a lot of time on google earth so if you like geography that's a good idea.
I go to MLB just because I like reading their articles. I'd say just pick one of your hobbies and find a website that writes about that.
If you like Lego, the Brothers Brick is a great blog highlighting people's amazing creations, as mixed in with reviews of official sets. I had no idea it was remotely possible to make some of the things people do. Liziqi's youtube channel is a great escape from life- beautifully shot and produced videos of pastoral life and making food from scratch, including harvesting the crops, etc. One of my favorites is this one of her making a bamboo sofa for her and her grandma to eat at from scratch. She also has a great one of making paper from scratch.
Bob Ross marathon streams every weekend on Twitch. It's one of the most chill things to listen to. He never reads chat, though.
www.roblox.com
I just log in World of Warcraft and enjoy the world.
Daily dose of internet, while not a news site, is a wholesome YouTube channel.
"This could go either way depending on what you get, but I really like to open up wikipedia and click "Random Article" on the top left (on desktop), and if the article seems interesting I read it. A lot of time sport results, or a two sentence article about some insect comes up, but just click again if that's not interesting. Another wiki page to go through is this one, which is a list of unusual, or interesting articles. Here is a link to random article as well. "
