7 months ago I asked mintik which career path I should choose to make my work life more interesting. 2 days ago I got my license as an EMT and I'm happy as fuck. Thank you, mintik!

Congrats mate! I got my EMT license after flunking out of High School. It got me interested in learning more about medicine. I took classes at community college, then finished a Neuroscience degree at established University, and now I'm going to be finishing my masters in Bioengineering, and hopefully moving on to MD from there. Not to boast, I just wanted to say that starting at EMT can be a great & fantastic start to a brand new career. I Hope this a great stepping stone for a different future than you could have imagined a few months ago as well.

I just got my EMT-B license this summer too and am going to start responding at my university this fall. For me it's a step towards med school. From what I hear, though, is that O2 and transport gets boring after a while so push for paramedic.

7 months? Fuck, I am an Australian training to be a paramedic here. It takes 3 years of university and 1 year on road before you are fully qualified.
