What do you not say in a room full of the opposite gender?

"Had a college professor say to class one time that "Women in ither countries don't have periods. Only America." When asked if he meant the terminology or cultural/social reactions are different he said "No, only American women menstrate." In a sociology class there was this guy (all the other guys this day had conviently been absent this day) who said that it wasn't rape if the girl was drunk or dressed "sluttly". We were discussing the Brock Turner case and he said some other just awful shit as well. (That rape wasn't a real problem, you shouldn't be drinking if you don't want sex, there's no reason for Brock Turner to go to jail, his mother and father are the real victims here, etc.) Our professor asked if he wanted to revise or clarify his statements, he said no. The professor replied something to the effect of "Well ladies, I'm sure you can respond to this effectively." And sat and drank her tea. "
