"First off thirteen-year-old me would be glad to see I got piercings, but then frown at the fact that I did not, apparently, die before I hit twenty or even twenty-five. My sage advice would be: "Stop fucking purging or telling yourself you need to lose weight because you're going to throw away ten-plus years on this shit, develop all sorts of fun addictions and problems, and you'll have to forever deal with the fact that it brought upon you a wacky turn of events in which your first love was an abusive shithead that you still can't really hate even four years later. Do you really want that?" Then there would probably be a lot of hugging and crying, honestly. I would just hug and apologize to myself for all the shit I said and did. "

I was not in a good place at 13 so I would have told her to keep drawing and writing and reassure her the darkness eventually lifts. We wouldn't have argued.

Boys. I have such different tastes now. I am a bit embarrassed about my tastes back then haha. We would also probably argue about the ways of life. I have had such humbling experiences that would blow 13 year old me's mind
