A lot of people listed popular, news worthy examples, but here's two personal ones. My been-a-nurse-all-her-life MIL completely thinks it's all fake. My BIL works at a hospital and got sent home because his coworker's wife got a positive result and she called the hospital to complain. Yesterday was encouraging my SIL take her kids to a park to play and socialize. Totally taking the opportunity to blame Cuomo for tanking the economy and fear-mongering which is lol. The other is, it was my turn to do grocery shopping yesterday and the guy behind me in the self-checkout line was literally breathing down my neck and stood shoulder to should with me. If I had been less pissed off by the machine not working I would have absolutely started a fight. Normal looking young people are at risk too!! We have cancer, heart problems, lung problems, immunodeficiency, and other invisible illnesses. Also regardless of a pandemic please respect people's personal space!!

I was at the store and the lady in line behind me was using the same tissue to hold the cart handle and blow her nose. What the actual Fuck that's not ok even when things are normal. Please be aware of what your doing and how it affects others.

"ok, So , in my country, the prime minister tells everyone to make noise (clap,cheer, bang plates etc.) from our balconies or roofs at a specific time in a specific day to thank all the doctors,nurses, policemen etc.who risked their life to help us. A few days later, my mom shows me videos of people acting like COMPLETE DUMBASSES by legit going outside like we just won the intergalactic Olympics or something in large groups and banging plates with HUGE branches, probably thinking the virus would just leave if we made enough noise. So on a day we're supposed cheer for people stopping the virus, we just go ahead be like,"yo covid, if u wanna f with someone, im right f***ing here." "

This took place before Covid really took off here. A woman in Perth (West Australia) was tested for the covid virus and told to self isolate. Instead she treated herself to a nice dinner with some friends in a crowded restaurant, then went to a concert. Next day she was told she tested positive. Oh, and she was 70, so definitely in the at risk section of the population

In the 12 hours on the day our lockdown came into effect, one of my SO's coworkers: - met 2 different groups of friends - went into work where she sat with 7 people - went to the pub, because it was 'their last opportunity' One of the first group of friends was just diagnosed with Covid-19. God knows how many other peopleshe has spread it to just in those last 12 hours. I hate extroverts sometimes. Miss your friends? Use. Your. Phone!
