I was an A student in highschool, and put little effort into college and graduated with a 2.4. More than 10 years out of college, I've never been asked my GPA. I've been an engineer in the medical device field the whole time. Worked at large companies, startups, failed companies even. Right now I work at a start up where I was the 6th hire. GPA isn't as important as it seems.

Engineer here. Grades aren't everything. That being said if I could turn back time I would apply myself much more while I was in high school/college.. Would have been financially easier on me.

made it outta HS with a C average, got an AS in Electronics. worked for major telecoms and last 12 years at two major tech firms in the valley. low 6 figures. can't complain. i'm nearly 50.

2.7 high school GPA, almost flunked out of college after 2 semesters and decided to get my shit together. Was able to get both a bachelors and masters within 5 years.

I make about 100k at as an IT team lead for IT department at a Major Insurance company. I had a weak C average in HS. Had to do academic probation to get into college. My GPA was 1.7 at HS graduation. Never give up kids!
