"We're moving soon and I'm trying to get rid of the stuff I probably don't need anymore, so donating bags and bags of clothes and shoes - I am however keeping the 3ft totem pole I was given many birthdays ago. It's doesn't have any purpose, it's not even very decorative, but when I was a student it used to come on nights out with me or to the pub to watch football, it would be odd to leave it somewhere. But I guess that's more un-useful, not really that odd. My husband beats me hands down for oddest thing in the flat - I went in his sock draw (to borrow socks) and found a roll of very sharp scalpel blades and a glass slide of something "interesting" from his uni days - it was a cross section of a rat colon. Why was it in his sock draw "you have no idea how long it took me to section and stain that - and look at it it! It's a perfect example! Why wouldn't I keep it?" "
