As someone studying their third language, I say start with apps and transition into books and teachers later.

Depends... If you have it easy learning things by yourself, go after the apps, but if you have trouble with that, go after a teacher!

Idk but when learning objects its better to think of them as that word. For example, when you're learning Spanish for table you should think 'la mesa' when looking at/thinking about it instead of ok so the Spanish for table is 'la mesa' if you get what i mean

Through my personal experience, alot of apps teach you to learn the word's equivalent in your native language, while (personally) I find it easier to remember if I learned the word while speaking to a teacher or other speaker of the language. IDK if this makes sense.

i think they each have their own drawbacks and strengths. i've never tired to use a book, but the good thing about teachers is actually getting experience and being able to have conversations in the language which will help you to become more fluent, but for me it's hard to learn with teachers because as soon as learning becomes as task i become disinterested and you can't go at your own pace. with apps you can go at your own pace, but it's easy to give up, and you don't actually get the experience of having conversations and can't get help specifically for the issues you're having with the language(ex. korean pronunciation of vowels)
