Just the vastness of certain things. Like a black hole. You'd expect something small...But no, they're fucking huge! The Great Attractor (a 'gravitational anomaly), the Sloan Great Wall. Even these great pockets of empty space in between galaxies that stretch 100's of millions of light years! Nebula's that are light years across, superclusters that contain millions of galaxies...All of it! It's mindblowing. And what lies beyond the observable universe? Nevermind that mysteries on the edges of our own galaxy, but something billions of light years away. What's beyond there? Is it sheer emptiness? In other galaxies far away, are there planets like ours? Life somewhere? Are we alone in the entire universe?

A 4-year old child asks over 400 questions per day. Kids are our future and universe. Feed their curiosity! Other fun fact. The average adult can swim through the arteries in a grey whales heart. Yet they filter feed on krill which are itty bitty shrimp.

It always blows me away that every star you see is some sun or galaxy, and that you are potentially staring right at something that may harbor intelligent life staring right back at you. Just thinking about what I'm looking at when I look up at the night sky always mind fucks me.
