How could someone maximize personal profit (ethically or unethically) from finding a chest of buried treasure?

Make it public you found the treasure then after the collector value has dropped due to supply and demand, then destroy the treasure assuming there are duplicates. Raising the value potentially higher than the normal value. Or you could cause an economic collapse, when people are becoming desperate for money, you buy it off of them for cheap. Then when the economy is stable, you will have the only ones of that treasure in the country, then sell it all for an insane markup. Cash Money

Sell bullshit treasure-hunting courses, using the chest as a proof of your godlike skill.

Dont tell anyone you found it. Because you need to split it with the owner of the land and or the goverment. Instead take the treasure and rebury it on your plot of land if you have some. Let it stay there for a couple of months to let the dust built up so it looks authentic.

Write a book about it. Get Trump to denounce it (which only makes more people buy it). Sell the rights to Hollywood. Get the Church to denounce it (which only makes more people pay to see it). Sell the concept to Universal so they can build a theme park around it. When you get the subpoena to explain to Congress what happened, ignore it.
