"I've got one from high school: In eleventh grade I was taking my usual bathroom break - you know how you get on a habitual schedule, especially in something as structured as high school - between third and fourth period. The urinals were both taken, so I chose the closest stall. Upon entering, I found a new piece of written graffiti artwork on the wall. I can't quite remember what it said exactly, but I remember thinking it was fairly clever and pretty funny. Funny enough, that is, to take a picture with my camera phone to show some friends later on. Innocent enough, right? Well, my phone, which is 99% on vibrate, especially in school, was left on ringtone and featured a cool little shutter sound when I take pictures. Que a shutter sound from a stall in the middle of a full bathroom. After a couple "what the fuck"s from the outside, I left with my head down with the new-found knowledge of always leaving my phone on silent, especially when takings pictures of bathroom graffiti. "

"I was leaving to study in another country for 3 years so I'd spend the whole day giving out goodbye hugs to everyone I knew. For some reason i met a lot of people that day. Well, a little bit later the same day I meet this girl I've barely ever talked to that was in the class above mine. And she is walking the same way as me and a friend so we politely start talking. Well, when we parted ways I suddenly remembered that I hadn't given her a proper goodbye. So I ran up to this girl I'd never spoken to before today yelling "hey wait!", looked her in the eyes with my arms spread wide for a hug and said "goodbye, I'll see you when I see you". She looked at me like I was mad, weird and maybe a little bit dangerous, but mostly just very, very sad. "

"I was a senior in high school and part of the swim team, and a team member asked if I would grab her clothes from the trunk of her car. It was cold out, and the sweater was cold. Before I put it on the bench for her, without thinking I put it to my face and smelled it. I instantly realized that that was weird, and everyone was like "wut". I explained to them that because it was cold, for some reason I thought it would smell crisp and fall-leafy like. To this day I think of it and cringe. "

"I was getting a lap dance from a stripper. I was about 22 years old. She was an absolute stunner, we were in a semi-private section of the club, and the dance is going well. I start imagining how awesome it would be to have access to this girl at any time of day or night. You know, like snap your fingers and she's right there. It was near the end of the song, I pipe up and say "Wow. I wish I could keep you in my closet". She gives me a look, gets dressed and takes off. Whoops. "

This was only kind of accidental. While in the Bahamas I forgot my money in the room, and a friend payed for my food and said I'd pay him back later in a manner of his choosing. Fast forward to airport on way home, he says I have to sniff this person from behind, shoulder to ear. He points to someone, I thought he pointed to someone else, and low and behold I end up doing it to someone who's on our same 24 person flight. He got on before us, and it was the most awkward 30 seconds of my life walking past him.

"Last week, my girlfriend's roommate mentioned in passing that her boyfriend played football in high school. I asked her what position he played, but she didn't know. Later that day, my girlfriend and I come back to the room, knock, and are told to come in by her roommate, who's boyfriend is there. They're sitting awkwardly on the bed, and have obviously been busy recently. This makes the conversation awkward, so after a lull, I go "So, what position * did you play on the football team in high school?" The asterisk is the point at which both of their faces took on a look of horror. I pretended I had done it on purpose. "

When I was 10, I made a website about a girl I had a crush on. It included pictures of her that I took from a distance, along with details on her hair color, eyes, etc... It ended up being the top result on Google when her name was searched. I took it down when I heard that her family just purchased a computer, and remembered that the first thing kids do when having a computer is search for their name on Google. Alas, I was too late, and her mom called mine about it.

"Mine was on the news. It was the "Crawl for Cancer". Thousands of people show up in the drinking district and buy tickets to bar hop all day. For cancer you know... There was a group of about 10 people with me and my wife. We are entering a bar and a news crew stops us, and starts interviewing one of the guys with us. I'm behind him to his left, leaning up against a short brick wall. To my right I spot my wife with her arm on the wall. I reach up, lay my arm parallel to hers and start tickling the inside of her elbow with my finger tips. This goes on for about 30 seconds before I hear, "I'm not your wife." I was too fixated on the news cameras to realize it was just someone with a similar height/hair color. It was, my wife's, coworker's, friend whom neither of us had ever met. It was on the news. "
